Emerging Markets
Long before the recent uproar in the media and demonstrations regarding immigrants by any distinction, there have been community groups that felt the need for some type of financial institution that could better understand their needs, both in the community and culturally.
Looking back at every other ethnic group in history that formed a bank, such as Bank of Italy, German Town Bank, Immigrant Savings Bank, Chemical National Bank, and Bowery National Bank, these emerging community groups realize that what made sense then makes sense today.
The difference in the twenty-first century is that the cycle of banking is such that communities coming of age are in sync with the emerging markets we see forming banks.
